Hi, I’m Kia. I’ve been working professionally in costume design and fabrication for over 17 years, and over the course of time I’ve found a sadistic passion in making corsets and costumes with fascinating shapes, materials, and details. I adore the Victorian era, as well as fantastical visions of the future, and I’m exceptionally creative when it comes adding straps, hardware, trims, and details that accentuate whatever effect you’re trying to achieve. I’m based in Chicago, IL and would love to make your garment dreams – or nightmares – come true!

My Process

Since I design and make every piece to order, I get started with a form to get a sense of what you’re dreaming of – it gives us a kicking off point to talk it through and arrive at a design we agree on. When you love the design, we’ll set up times to meet up for measurements and fittings if you’re based in Chicago – or if you’re far away, I can give you some measuring instructions – and we’ll get you set up with a piece you love.

Cost/Timeline

My corsets generally range from $350-$550 in price; it will vary depending on time, complexity, and materials involved. It’s good to allow 3-4 weeks for the process, but quicker turnarounds can be arranged in some cases. Looking forward to designing something unique for you!
